Today, personnel dredged channels and repaired manhole at RW 01, 02, and 03 Untung Jawa Island Urban Village, South Thousand Islands.
Thousand Islands SDA Sub-agency Head, Abdul Rouf mentioned, his side intensified channel dredging and repairing due to the increasing rainfall intensity on these days.

Not only dredging and cleaning the channels that lead to the sea, but his side also cleaned gutters and repaired the damaged manholes.
"We deploy 23 personnel to dredge and repair the damaged manholes," he said.
This dredging was expected to prevent flooding and inundation to occur when the rain falls, especially in the basin area, because water flow smoothly to the sea.
"We collected 50 sacks of mud and garbage from the cleaning and it will be transported to Untung Jawa Island TPS," he stated.
